Diego's Story...
UPDATE! Diego & Jinx went to a new home today for a trial run! So hopefully it's a match & they have found their forever homes :~)

Diego n Jinx belonged to a local soldier & his family... Thanks to cuts in Military wages, he was called to serve our country in Germany & had to chose between his children or his dogs who were like his own children too. He found them what he thought was a good home, & with a broken heart he said Good-Bye, he sold all of his property, & was 1 day away from leaving & he got a call from a shelter to tell him that his dogs had been picked up after being abandoned. We found a temporary foster for them but they really need a home for the Holidays of their own. Their biggest obstacle is that they are a matched set, meaning they must go together. That was their father's wish, possibly his final wish, he has said Good-Bye to his family & went into combat. So now he has had to say Good-Bye to his dogs TWICE, his family, his home & his country to serve us, to serve & protect us, to defend our country.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Diego, a Shoreline Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Shoreline, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Shoreline.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Shoreline already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Shoreline breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Shoreline paves the way for another one to be saved.
