Oliver's Story...
Oliver is the name and puppy is the game. Best we can figure, I am a Border Collie/Husky mix who was brought into this world approximately 11/06. I am up to date on shots, neutered and current on heartworm prevention. If you don't know, let me inform you a couple of things about puppies. We are different from adult dogs in that we are not yet potty trained, we will be teething soon (so many toys will be helpful) and we have a tendency to whine a lot. Remember, we just left our mom and are in search for another mother, father or family to teach us the ropes (in a very constructive manner). Puppies can be a handful, but in the right hands and hearts they can be your best friend and grow up to be a very smart, loving part of a family. Are you up for the task?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oliver, a Baton Rouge Siberian Husky/Border Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siberian Husky/Border Collie for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Siberian Husky/Border Collie puppy from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siberian Husky/Border Collie breeders who help with Siberian Husky/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
