Janie's Info...

Janie's Story...
Janie was one of the many young puppies surrendered to us at a rural spay & neuter clinic earlier this fall. She was rescued, along with her mom & her siblings when the puppies were still very young. The pups were raised in the loving arms of a devoted foster home and are now ready to go out into the world on their own, should the right people come along! Their beautiful mom has already found her fur-ever home and now it’s her puppies turn.

I am shy and soft and love to play with my kongs and stuffed toys. I love my foster brother dog and put my head in his mouth for fun. My foster mum says that my photo just does not show what a gorgeous girl I am with my spotted socks and chest.

If you would like to adopt, please visit http://www.poundrescue.com/adoptions/adoption-process to learn about our adoption process & fees, or to fill out an online application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Janie, a Okotoks German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Okotoks, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Okotoks.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Okotoks already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Okotoks breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Okotoks paves the way for another one to be saved.
