Pogo's Story...
Pogo is a 14-16 month old Terrier mix who weighs about 20 pounds or so and is a funny little guy. He gets along well with dogs his size, but is a big dog in a little body and puffs his chest out around much bigger dogs! He walks fine on a leash and is a bit intimidated by most of the cats, as they are nearly as big as he is. This little guy is full of energy and could play all day! Actually a cute little munchkin! An adoption fee may be required which helps cover some of the care and veterinary services provided, including spay for females, neuter for males, vaccinations, de-worming and heartworm testing when age appropriate.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pogo, a Metamora Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Metamora, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Metamora.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Metamora already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Metamora breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Metamora paves the way for another one to be saved.
