Here is what one of our Associates had to say about Grady:
Walking up to Grady in the kennel can be intimidating. He is a large dog. Your first impression will be forgotten within seconds.
Grady is a giant with a gentle soul.
He is completely black except for his usual brindle feet. He has a soft face with loving brown eyes.
Grady is quick to make friends. He is not shy nor overly excited. He shows no aggression towards adults or children. He would be fine in a home with older children(due to his size). He does not jump up. He will follow basic commands with little encouragement. I am confident with his easy going nature and with little effort he will excel at any obedience training.
Grady is alert when he encounters other dogs. He is happy to have a game with the right dog. He would do fine in a one dog household or with another dog. Due to his size, I would recommend having him meet any other future companions prior to adoption. He does not lunge or growl when he sees other dogs. He has on occasion raised his hackles in the presence of another dog but that could possibly resolve after he is neutered.
Grady's energy level is low and a walk a day would do him just fine. He loves to have a game with you however, he is still not quite sure what to do with toys. He is in control of his movements and surroundings. He is quick to tire out and is content to go find a comfortable place for a nap.
He is quiet and happy in the car. While in the kennel, he will give you a boisterous bark if you happen to walk by without saying hello.
Grady is a happy, easy go lucky kinda guy. He would be more than thrilled to tag along with you on life's adventures. As long as he can do it with you!
