Stella's Story...
Hi! I'm Stella. I was stuck at the pound for A LONG time before rescue was able to help me. I'm an incredibly sweet girl. I love to run and play -- therefore I really need a family who will play with me in the backyard, take me for walks, hikes, jogs -- you name it, I'm game! I adore people, but please don't put me in a home with cats. I do like playing with other dogs - just playing in general is good. I'd be okay as an only dog too and I'm very loyal and loving. I'm busting out of the kennel for the New Year and heading to my foster home. If you are interested in learning more about me and helping me find my FORever home, please email info@forrescue.net and they can help put us in touch. I SO look forward to my very own family - I sure hope it is with you!!! Love, Stella

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stella, a Hagerstown Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Norwegian Elkhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Norwegian Elkhound for sale in Hagerstown, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Norwegian Elkhound dog from a breeder in Hagerstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hagerstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hagerstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Norwegian Elkhound breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Norwegian Elkhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hagerstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
