James's Story...
James, is a handsome tricolor large beagle mix boy. He is very sweet and affectionate, about 3 yrs old and 35 lbs. He must have had quite a life story, as he only has half a tail, and he's not telling. He is very partial to chews and treats, and like most beagles he loves his food, which makes training a lot easier. He loves to run around in the yard, and comes when called. He does not like most other dogs, so needs to be an only child. This is fine though, he is all the dog most people could ever want. He'll be fine with kids and a good walking companion.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

James, a Charlottesville Beagle/Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Charlottesville, or seeking a Beagle/Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Charlottesville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Charlottesville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Charlottesville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Beagle/Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Charlottesville paves the way for another one to be saved.
