Handsome old Trigger has been a wonderful addition to our extended beagle family. Don't let his age fool you! He is energetic and loves to clown around. He is quiet as far as beagles go -- he only 'barks' when he is greeting me coming in the door, or if he needs to go outside. He is very well behaved and completely housebroken. He has proven to be fond of children, other dogs (male or female), and adults. He appreciates everything you give him, and returns the love many times over. He is truly a gem for whomever is lucky enough to adopt this old gentleman.

Steps to adopt a beagle from Tampa Bay Beagle Rescue:
Read about the beagle breed to be sure this dog matches your lifestyle and personality. While we think beagles are terrific dogs, we know that no one breed is perfect for every single family. Many people adopt or purchase beagles because they are small and friendly without ever finding out more about the breed. We encourage anyone who is considering adding a beagle to their family to learn all they can about these stubborn, playful hounds!
Submit an on-line application. Just fill out the application on-line and we will automatically be notified. If you need to, you can save your application and finish it later.
Choose to receive information from us. In your settings, you have the option to receive emails and regular mail from us. Click these options to receive updates about dogs available for adoption and upcoming events such as adoption days, special activities and fundraising events.
Approval of the application is based on phone interviews and a reference & Vet check. It usually takes us 7-10 days to approve an application, but when we are very busy, it can take a little longer. Thanks for your patience!
Visit with the beagles! After you are approved, you can visit with the dogs at adoption events, usually scheduled once or twice a month. Adoption events are open to the public, but only preapproved applicants will be able to adopt the same day. (We recommend submitting the application at least 10 days in advance to ensure it is approved in time.)
