NEWT's Story...
I'm what a newt looks like. I have a great personality, very easy going, and I have no idea why I haven't gotten my "forever home" yet. My owner left me and moved away. I was left on the streets through last winter for 9 months without food or shelter. Neighbors "sort of fed me" but would not claim me as their cat so when I needed medical help I was out of luck. If it were not for F.A.T Cat Haven I would have died. My story is on www.fatcathaven.org under news. We aren't sure of my age but I do so love to be held and I love kids and people. I have been so thankful that these guys are a lifetime care place so if I'm not adopted I won't have to worry about being euthanized. I'm very healthy now that they have taken me to the vet for care. They give me lots of lovin' and keep assuring me that it's not my fault that I was left behind and that they love me. This time I would really like like it if adopted for you to keep me as part of your family and not leave me no matter what. I am worth it!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

NEWT, a Crescent City Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Crescent City, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Crescent City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Crescent City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Crescent City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Crescent City paves the way for another one to be saved.
