Brodie - 5 year old female Dachshund Miniature Schnauzer mix. Brodie is approximately 24 pounds. Brodie is a very good small dog packed with personality who likes to go for walks, loves the beach, has a nice temperament and enjoys snuggling up on the couch. Brodie likes and gets along with other dogs, people & older kids (just not our children unfortunately) & is very low-maintenance. No vet issues, up to date on all shots and spayed. She can hold her pee for about 12 hours (never ever wakes you up at night), and is very protective around the house. She will bark a lot if someone comes around the house or knocks on the door. Unfortunately Brodie was the focus of our attention until we had kids and now she seems to have developed a jealous disposition towards them and is not mixing with our 2-year old son. Her new home would preferably be one without young kids that has a nice yard and owner who will play with her and take her on walks. Brodie can walk for a very long time (no need to take rest breaks or carry her) and is great off-leash. She is pretty good at healing back to us and knows the basic commands of sit, stay, lay down, go to your bed, go potty. Brodie eats dry food (similar to Canidae) with a little bit of wet food on top twice a day. We just leave her food and water out all day if she doesn't finish her breakfast. Brodie does not make any messes when eating or drinking water. A pretty easy dog overall…Brodie has flown on about 40 flights, was in our wedding and is fantastic in the car. You don't have to worry about her running away off-leash, she will usually listen and come back to you when called. If interested in meeting Brodie please contact Katie at 949-637-3889 or email at ktlubbers@gmail.com. Brodie is located in Dana Point.
