Darla's Story...
Found all alone wondering in Shelby Park, Darla had no collar and a badly injured paw. Now vaccinated, paw has fully healed and has a clean bill of health ! She is a very smart dog, eager to please, will sit and wait for her food, when you call her name, she will come to you and lay down ! How is that for manners !?! She walks well on a leash and has a very affectionate / cuddly side. House / crate trained, approx. 1 year old, we believe she is a Plotthound mix. Very petite in size and takes up little to no room on the couch ;-) She's been a good playmate for her foster brother, Spike and will do well in almost any home.

If you or someone you know might be interested in giving her a new home, please contact East CAN at .

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Darla, a Nashville Plott Hound puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Plott Hound for sale in Nashville, or seeking a Plott Hound puppy from a breeder in Nashville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nashville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nashville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Plott Hound breeders who help with Plott Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nashville paves the way for another one to be saved.
