Heidi's Story...

"Heidi" is a young Lab mix, about 6-7 months old, who is up for adoption at our shelter right now! she is an EXCELLENT dog, very well mannered and loves small kids. she wants to play with kids but is not too rough with them. Heidi is a little submissive and does very well around other dogs and cats. She has been at her temporary shelter home for quite some time now and is anxiously waiting for her forever family to adopt her. Heidi knows that for some reason, black doggies seem to get overlooked for adoption at times so she just asks for ONE chance to win your heart. Will you be the one to RESCUE sweet, sweet Heidi from our shelter!?

Act quickly to adopt Heidi. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Heidi, a Louisburg Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Louisburg, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Louisburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Louisburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Louisburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Louisburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
