Cassie's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Cassie's Story...
Cassie is a purebred salt & pepper schnauzer who was born around 6/1/2009. She is not a stray but was in a good home. Unfortunately the owner developed serious health problems and could no longer care for the two dogs. She is quiet and very friendly, but not demanding. She "mothers" the little chihuahua (Ginger) who was also in the home and is now with us. This beautiful little dog is not used to children, so will fit well into a home with adults. She is looking for a family to love.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cassie, a Terre Haute Schnauzer (Standard) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Standard) for sale in Terre Haute, or seeking a Schnauzer (Standard) dog from a breeder in Terre Haute.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Terre Haute already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Terre Haute breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Standard) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Standard) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Terre Haute paves the way for another one to be saved.
