I am already spayed and up to date with shots.
Spark is affectionate and attentive and just loves to please her people. She rolls on her back for belly rubs and can’t get enough of a good back massage. Spark has high energy and is looking for someone who has the time and interest in providing lots of physical as well as mental stimulation and exercise to burn off her energy. Spark loves to play with toys especially tennis balls but she will need to closely watched; at the shelter when she was enthusiastically trying to retrieve three tennis balls at once she ended up needing the Heimlich maneuver. Spark adores her people and is working hard on her obedience commands and knows all the basics such as sit and down but she finds it hard to concentrate when there is fun and love to be had. With her high energy and enthusiasm Spark would be too exuberant for small children but she has the potential to be a great play fellow for respectful older children. When asked what sort of home would best suit Spark, one handler said “the perfect home” and that is nothing more than she deserves. Please call the shelter 516-944-8220 during working hours (Mon. to Fri. 9AM-4PM; Sat. 10-4PM) for more information about Spark, the adoption process at the shelter, and to confirm availability. Please go to www.theshelterconnection.com for more information about and directions to the shelter.
