My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cola is an all white seven year old 110# purebred male Great Pyrenees. After months of searching for a great breeder dedicated to healthy Prys I found Cola in Atlanta Georgia. He arrived via plane Christmas Eve night 2005 and has been with our family ever since. He is fully housebroken and trained. He knows commands such as sit, shake, lay down, come and stay. However, true to the Pry breed, he does have a mind of his own. He is incredibly friendly with people. Loves kids, even when they climb on him or attempt to play “dress up”. He has lived with cats and other dogs. He is more sociable with smaller breed dogs, but if correctly introduced he has made friends with larger breed dogs. Cola has an absolute clean bill of health, including micro-chipped and neutered. The breeder he originated from was committed to joint health and lip structure to prevent drooling and slobber – he has had zero issues with either. His coat and grooming have always been well cared for, with visits to the groomer every other month. He is a free feeder or dry food only and goes through approximately as much food as other standard size breeds I’ve owned it the past (such as Collies or German Shepherds). Cola requires a fenced in area, preferable 5’ or higher fence. He loves to take walks, but not too far or he will just stop when he gets tired. He likes to go “bye bye” in the car, from trucks to the back of my Scion XB he’s always been great with jumping right in. His breed is meant to be protective, so he will bark at strangers and other animals. He can be vocal. He will attempt to snuggle with you – he doesn’t realize his size! Unfortunately due to significant life changes and housing circumstances I am compelled to find Cola a new home. I am looking for a great match for this amazing pet!

An adoption application, site visit, secure visible fencing, and an adoption fee are required to adopt Cola.
