Misty's Story...
Misty was found as a stray in Hebron and taken in by a nice lady who had severe allergies to her and could not keep her. She is 9 years old with a sweet personality to match her beautiful looks. Her favorite thing is to cuddle up next to you and be petted; she will come when you call and reward you with lots of purrs and gentle headbutts.

Misty is now available for viewing and adoption at the Petsmart in Algonquin. The Algonquin Petsmart is located at 1808 S. Randall Road in the Algonquin Commons shopping complex. Adoption event hours are Saturdays and Sundays from 11 til 2 but adoptions can be arranged anytime during the week by calling Amy at 815-814-3575. Misty qualifies for Animal Outreach's Senior-to-Senior program. Any adopter over 55 can adopt Misty for no charge.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Misty, a McHenry Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in McHenry, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in McHenry.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in McHenry already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a McHenry breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in McHenry paves the way for another one to be saved.
