Here's what the humans have to say about me:
You may meet and apply to adopt Homer at our ADOPTION EVENT on SUNDAY, MARCH 25th from 12 Noon - 3:00 at PETCO in NEWPORT BEACH. adoptpetmatch@gmail.com
Homer is a 2 year old male Westie mix weighing in at 23 pounds. He is not a typical terrier. This mellow young dog is as calm and sweet natured as they come. Homer is very well behaved and very quiet in the home. He just wants a warm, safe place to stay, and if you give him some attention, he gladly accepts it in the most polite and gentle way. He loves to snuggle and give kisses, and always wants to be in the same room with you, usually curled up on a handy soft surface. He is a true gentleman who will wait to be asked to jump into your lap and most definitely a peace loving guy. He is completely house trained and, if he cannot be with you, will happily wait quietly for your return. He is content with short walks for exercise. Homer is excellent around other dogs, cats and children. He walks well on leash, generally ignoring other dogs and loves riding quietly in the car. Sadly, Homer doesn't expect much due to his rough start in life. He has never learned to play with toys. He was brought in to the shelter by his owners who, for apparently no reason at all, didn't want him. Along with being utterly terrified, and shaking in the corner of his kennel, poor Homer arrived dirty and obviously neglected. His gentle nature and desire for peace give him tons of potential as a loving, devoted pet. Homer deserves better and is looking for a responsible, forever home to relax in and enjoy life. He will undoubtedly be forever grateful and completely loyal.
Homer’s adoption donation is $350 (TAX DEDUCTABLE). He has been NEUTERED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, and DEFLEAED. Also included is his collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of his records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.
Homer is being fostered by Pet Match Rescue Foster Volunteer, Mary and is ready for his forever home.
