My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Konstantin is a sweet, shy, soft and gentle, three-year-old, 57-pound, male, Borzoi or Russian Wolfhound looking for a loving guardian. Borzoi are similar in shape to Greyhounds, and are also a member of the sighthound family. Borzoi in Russian means fast … and Konstantin runs like the wind when given a large fenced in area to run in. However, in the home, he’s a couch potato; he’s happy to curl up in his dog bed, or hang out with other dogs, cats, and children. He’s wonderful with everyone and everything. Konstantin has delightful house manners. He is perfect with his housebreaking, never jumps on people or counters. He also takes treats extremely gently from your fingers. Konstantin or Kozzy as his friends call him, is very small for a male Borzoi and was born with defective joints. He was just not made to climb stairs. So, he’s looking for a home with very few stairs to climb, and a large fenced-in yard where he can run. The sights and sounds of the city make him nervous, so he’s looking for a home in a quieter area because leashed walks in the city are stressful for him. To meet and possibly adopt Konstantin, please contact Katherine at kathgrover@gmail.com or 312-286-5204. His adoption fee of $150 includes a supply of his anti-anxiety medication which he can probably be weaned off of when he’s settled down in new surroundings. He is currently living in Chicago’s Eukranian village neighborhood.
