Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Cloey is a beautiful 15" beagle girl. Her owner brought her to the shelter because they got a puppy. Cloey was shaking with fear when they left her behind. When we brought her home she was very nervous with all the other dogs in her new foster home. We know Cloey lived outside in a pen, and we don't think she had much interaction with other dogs. At first she didn't like them being close to her and was a bit defensive. Now Cloey runs and plays and is very happy. She enjoys chew bones and loves to be petted.
She quickly learned how to use the dog door. She is house trained and crate trained. She is walking on leash real well considering she didn't seem to know what a leash was. Her new family will need to walk her in a harness or martingale collar because she will occasionally try to back out of her collar if she isn't sure about something.
Cloey would do best in a home with easy going dogs. She would also be happy as an only dog. She never tries to dig under or climb the fence. Cloey could be considered low to medium energy. She will make someone a very best friend.
