Hermione's Story...
Hermione is a beautiful Shepherd mix who was sprung from an animal control facility just before her time was up. She's now living in a wonderful foster home. Here's what her foster mom has to say about her:

"Hermione is a shy, laid back dog who loves to play outside with other dogs or fetch sticks. She gets along very well with cats and has never shown any form of aggression. She loves to lay next to you on the couch or curl up in bed with you. She listens and learns quickly, and is house trained and very obedient."

Hermione's adoption fee of $115 includes spay, vaccines, microchip, deworming, heartworm test and starting on heartworm prevention.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hermione, a Schertz German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Schertz, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Schertz.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Schertz already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Schertz breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Schertz paves the way for another one to be saved.
