Buffy's Story...
3 - 4 year old Buffy is a very special dog - she is gentle, affectionate, easy going, and a true companion to her foster Mom. Buffy's journey to finding a forever home has not been an easy one - she was dumped in a high kill rural shelter, was found to be infected with heartworm disease (it's been treated and she's healthy), and then rejected by an adoptor who made little or no effort to help Buffy transition into their home. Buffy needs to find her forever home - she is truly a wonderful dog that deserves a second chance. We promise that Buffy will be worth any short time effort to help her adjust to her new home. If you would like to be considered as a forever home for Buffy, please submit an application which you can find on our website (www.almostheaven-golden-retriever-rescue.org) Please email it to us for fastest response.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buffy, a Capon Bridge Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Capon Bridge, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Capon Bridge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Capon Bridge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Capon Bridge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Capon Bridge paves the way for another one to be saved.
