Jacob's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Jacob's Story...
Jacob is a purebred adolescent Bernese Mt Dog, 2 yrs old. He is just a big silly puppy still, playful and energetic. About 75-80 lbs. Needs only plenty of love and training. Like most BMD's, he would not do well left alone for long hours. Gets along great with other dogs and with cats. He is healthy and active. For more info on this breed, please go to www.BMDINFO.org ~~ NOTE: We always require a securely fenced yard for all dog adoptions, and certainly never just a shock collar.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jacob, a Mount Gilead Bernese Mountain Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bernese Mountain Dog for sale in Mount Gilead, or seeking a Bernese Mountain Dog dog from a breeder in Mount Gilead.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mount Gilead already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mount Gilead breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bernese Mountain Dog breeders who help with Bernese Mountain Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mount Gilead paves the way for another one to be saved.
