My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cecelia is an adorable six month old tiny female longhair dachshund. She weighs just 7 pounds right now. We think she will be no more than 11 pounds when she is full grown. Her beautiful coat color is called English Cream and as you can see it is stunning. She came to rescue from a backyard breeder who let the numbers get out of control.
She came to dachshund rescue and has now been spayed and is up to date on all her vaccinations. She is a playful happy little dog. She loves to go in the car and just curls up and rides quietly. She is excellent about going potty when she is taken out and put down on the lawn. The housetraining process must continue but should be relatively easy.
Cecelia loves to run and play with all the doggie toys. She gets along very well with the other four dachshunds in the foster home. She is a great lap dog and really loves to snuggle. She would much rather sleep in the big bed with her people than be in a crate.
Cecelia would be best placed with someone who is home most of the time or wants to take her to work. A very secure indoor place is needed for Cecelia to be when no one is at home. She will be fine with older gentle children.
