My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mona is a wonderful, energetic, cutie patootie. Her birthday is February 1, 2011 and although she is almost a year old, she was not trained at all before coming to us. We are working with her on basics and she coming along but she will require some additional training from her new pack leader (you) once she gets to her forever home.

We really appreciate your wanting to give a shelter animal a home and encourage you to search for just the right pet.

Download an application [PDF file - click here] or [Word doc. - click here]. and either email it back to k9care@verizon.net, fax it to (212) 752-2803 or bring it in to the Humane Society of New York, 306 East 59 Street (between 1st + 2nd Avenues) New York, NY 10022.

The Humane Society is a no-kill shelter. Our on-site clinic and staff of skilled Veterinarians looks after the health and well-being of every animal here. We offer FREE Vet care for the first 3 weeks after adoption. We also have a great adoption matchmaker who will gladly take your profile and match you or your pet with just the right cat or dog companion. Please feel free to submit your application!
