My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**COURTESY LISTING**
Looking for an awesome cat?? Here he is! This is Donnie. He is 19 months old male. Neutered and up to date on all vaccines, FeLV/FIV tested negative. Very lovable and friendly with other kitties. Donnie is a very loving, friendly, laid back and just a really cool cat! He will make a great pal for someone. His family took him to Stonecreek Animal Hospital, couldn't afford a surgery that he needed and was left there to be put down. But Donnie was such an awesome cat that the staff there wouldn't let that happen. Krystal, one of the vet techs there paid for the surgery and is fostering him until he can find his forever home. Here is what she had to say; "Donnie was that he was continuously getting blocked and could not urinate. If left untreated he would have died. Each time he was blocked we placed a urinary catheter and kept him on fluids and hospitalized for 2-3 days. Due to the fact that this happened over 5 times, he needed to get a surgery that makes a permanent opening in the urethra (the surgery is called urethrostomy). This would mean that he could no longer get blocked. The owner could not afford the surgery (they already spent thousands on the hospitalization). They had elected to euthanize. I offered to pay for the surgery and take him home. The special diet is for the urinary condition. Although he cannot get blocked the doctors recommend that he is on a urinary diet for life (preferably canned to help with the water intake to flush the bladder). At this point I am feeding him Hills C/D wet and dry. He can also be fed Royal Canin Urinary S/O wet and dry.

PLEASE CONTACT ONLY: Krystal at 562/756-6588/munozkrystal@gmail.com if you would like to meet Donnie. You will fall in love! He is such a good boy and quite a character too. Soft, sleek and a real lovebug! (Donnie is in the Irvine, Lake Forest area)
