APOLLO's Info...

APOLLO's Story...
Apollo is a stunning young Border Collie (approx. 11-12 months), who in many ways already acts like a dog. While somewhat soft, he really wants to forge a bond with his humans and is adorable while doing so. He has soulful brown eyes and has amazing eye contact!! Traditional black and white with only a tiny tiny stripe on his face, he has a white triangle on the top of his head. As you can see, he has a great milk mustache.
Apollo is decent on leash, but would benefit from obedience classes as he tends to be a little bit of a “figure S walker.” He can be a little shy to enter new cars, but once in he rides incredibly well. He is one of the few true rough coats that we rarely get - his hair is very long and lush. He really likes to play with other dogs, but for some reason, the higher up dogs tend to pick on him sometimes. Follows voice commands quite well and is very eager to please. Will only get better with time. Get your application in fast as this gorgeous, young loving male will be scooped up fast!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

APOLLO, a San Pedro Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in San Pedro, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in San Pedro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Pedro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Pedro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Pedro paves the way for another one to be saved.
