Beauregard's Story...
Beauregard is a 1-2 year old Bloodhound that was rescued from a kill shelter in Central Florida. Beau was severely underweight when he came into Rescue, but is definitely making up for lost meals. Today he weighed in at 85 lbs, still a little lightweight as he should probably be close to 100 lbs. He has quickly adjusted to his new life and is thriving on lots of love and regular meals. Beau loves to run and play with the other dogs, rides well in the car, is reliably housetrained with nice house manners, is crate trained and will sit in front of you and hand you a paw when he wants attention. He also has the most beautiful baritone voice. He is a real sweetheart and loves everyone he meets. He showed no real interest to the cat that walked up to him at the vet. Beau is waiting in South Florida for his forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Beauregard, a Dallas Bloodhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bloodhound for sale in Dallas, or seeking a Bloodhound dog from a breeder in Dallas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dallas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dallas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bloodhound breeders who help with Bloodhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dallas paves the way for another one to be saved.
