My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This poor boy has been either used in dog fights or has been beat up by another dog more then one time, as you can see in the 4TH picture, he has some old and new scars, Juan appears to be afraid of other dogs, meaning it appears this boy is not a fighter, Juan must have lost many fights before his owner abandoned him, SWEET DOG.


The Kennel Attendant Assistant had this to say:..


Juan is soooo sweet. the guy who brought him in said Juan's good with kids and he did fine with his dog. I feel so bad for Juan. We think he was totally used for a bait dog.


At our best guess Juan is around 1 year old, is Large/Medium in size, walks on a leash, sits when asked, he appears to be SUPER sweet, loving, playful, good spirited, obedient, alert, and a very special little boy. While I was in Juan's kennel, I gave a little test by looking in his mouth, pulling on his ears and tail, holding his paw and giving him a little kiss and hug. Juan appeared to pass the test for me, he just wanted to sit in my lap,. We feel he may make a wonderful loving & loyal companion. We also feel this boy would do best in a very well fenced yard to play in. If you wish, Juan can be tested at the shelter around Dogs & Cats.
