Primo's Story...
Hi my name is Primo and I am a handsome 2 1/2 year old Staffordshire Terrier looking for my forever home. I can't believe this has happened to me as I was living in a home with my loving family and my sister Sasha a pit bull who was 2 years old at the time. I was very happy.

My dad was a mechanic and my sister Sasha often times went to work with my dad at his mechanic shop. Sasha had escaped from the mechanic shop one day and the following day Sasha had reappeared and was waiting at the fence as my dad showed up at the mechanic shop for work. Sasha was severely injured as she was hit and possibly dragged by a car. Sasha had severe head trauma with a 2 inch diameter of skull missing with brain and muscle exposed but she was alert and still happy. My sister Sasha also had a severley wounded right front leg where her tendons were exposed and protruding from her leg. Miraculously Sasha had such a strong will to live and a happy girl that our vet sewed her up and told my dad that she would need to be in a special needs home as she would always have a soft spot on her head. Any further head trauma with my sister Sasha would cause brain damage.

So what's all of this have to do with me. Well you see I was a puppy at the time only about a year old and Sasha and I played pretty intense. With Sasha' head injury I couldn't play with my sister anymore as everyone was afraid that if I accidently hit or bumped the soft spot on Sasha's head while we were playing I could cause permanent brain damage or possibly even kill her. So it was decided that I needed to find a forever home away from my sister Sasha where I could still romp and play and be the puppy I should be - happy, loving and playful. My dad surrendered me to Paws 4 Humanity Inc with the understanding that I would get the training that I needed to be placed in a forever home.

Even though I miss my sister I am happy with my foster family and get to play with other dogs without being afraid that I will injur them. My foster family has worked with me and I am crate trained, house trained and obedience trained. I walk well on a lead and know sit and come to my name. Now it is time for me to find my forever home. I am a sweet and handsome boy and am just looking for a family to love me as I have so much love to give.

If you are truly looking for your next best friend and a cool dude, I would love to meet you and charm your socks off! Please contact Paws 4 Humanity Inc to request and adoption application. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Primo, a Jacksonville American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Jacksonville, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Jacksonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jacksonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jacksonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jacksonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
