Hi there, I'm Petey. What breed I am no one knows for sure but I have some of the traits of a German Shorthaired Pointer, so we are going to go with that and something else :-) I came to HEA in June 2009 when I was seized from a hoarding situation where the lady had over 300 dogs. Needless to say, I wasn't lavished with attention there. When they seized me I was a little bit of a hyper handful and no one really wanted to work with me or even thought I was worth working with. So HEA took me in as they saw my potential. It has taken a while but I have mellowed out a bit and have become more social with both humans and other dogs. Actually I have come to adore both humans and other dogs. I share my room at the sanctuary with my best friend, Kobe. He and I go out to play with Misty and Dutch too. But hands down my favorite thing in the world is human affection and lots of pets. I would love a chance at a life full of love, pets, and happiness. Do you think you could give me a chance at that? Much love and adoration, Petey *They aren't marking the housetrained box because they don't think I have ever been in a house but I'm a smart boy, I'd get it either right away or fast :-)
