Hello to EVERYONE!!!! I'm Shandi! A beautiful girl born somewhere around March 2007, making me a young adult. I came to HEA from Cedar Rapids IA animal control facility. I am a super awesome girl and have had experience in two foster homes in IA. They wanted me to find a home without other dogs and weren't having luck so they asked HEA to give it a try. Needless to say, it's not easy to find a home with no other animals but I am keeping my paws crossed that one will come my way! At HEA I can go out and play with other dogs for supervised play and I stay out and play with a couple of other dogs they know I do well with but due to my experiences in foster homes with a couple of dogs, they wouldn't want me to go into a home with other animals just in case someone got upset about something. Super fun things my foster parents shared with HEA are that I can shake, sit, and stay (HEA continues to work on these things), I think I'm a lap dog, I love to follow people around all day every day, and I am ball obsessed! You should see me play with these huge hard plastic balls HEA gets me. They are like 14 inches and I can get them in my mouth carry them around and even jump into my crate with them. I am super talented when it comes to playing with these toys! And like any dog I love to go for walks but hide the balls on the way out the door because they distract me! If you are looking for an only child, I would love to be that girl! Adoringly yours, Shandi
