This is Mikey! He was found running loose, and taken in by animal control, where as we all know for pit bulls these days means death row. So with the help of some amazing Pit Bull loving friends we pulled Mikey from the kennels! Hes now currently living with me in my own home as our number one foster.
Mikey is very timid around new people, it does take him a few days to warm up to you. When we took Mikey in you could see all his ribs and he was badly suffering from Girardi. The parasite is now gone and hes gained over 15lbs!
Mikey is a very special dog and he needs a family who understands hes going to take time to get comfortable in a new home. Although fearful, he does not show any aggression. He does favor women to men but still is hesitant if you are new to him. He needs a quiet family that can take him on long runs or walks, and that understand he shouldnt just be throw into large social situations. He hates being alone and thrives off of love. He loves playing fetch and tearing apart stuffed toys.
Mikey has been living with two cats and adores them, hes love to play with them and snuggle up at night. He has made many new dog friends, he seems to love all animals of all sizes. If you do have another dog and are interested in Mikey, we will require more than one meet and greet time for the dogs to get used to each other.
