My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Willow is an approximately 2-3yo spayed Chocolate Labrador Retriever who was found as a stray along with her sister. We do not know anything about their past history. Willow's sister, with whom she ate out of the same bowl and shared everything, has found her forever home. Now it is Willow's turn. Willow plays very well with other dogs, both male/female, at the shelter and does well with her kennel mates. She was initially a little reserved but, with time & TLC, has become your typical Lab Lovebug! We noted her as having "Special Needs" because she has some type of leg injury. She has an intermittent limp in one of her rear legs and two patches of missing hair/healed wounds. We suspect that maybe she was bitten on that leg but cannot be sure.

We are thankful to Freddie, from http://www.fredericageorgia.com/, for capturing the essence of Willow's energy & fun nature with her superb photography skills! Who wouldn't love to have Willow as their long-term photographic muse??? It could be YOU!

The shelter does not have the ability to heartworm test on-site; however, for reputable rescues, local volunteer assistance is available for transport to a local Vet clinic for such testing and to obtain appropriate vaccines and Health Certificate.
