Here's what the humans have to say about me:
COURTESY POST - PLEASE CONTACT S_SMITH_POLO@YAHOO.COM.
Here is Livvy! We think Livvy is a 9 month old Boxer/ GSD mix. She has a boxer head and front body, but the tail, coat, and stance of a german shepherd. She also plays like a typical boxer- she loves to use her front legs to 'box' the other dogs. She is 40 pounds, but should be around 50-60 pounds. Livvy has a happy-go-lucky personality and loves everyone she meets.
Livvy came to the shelter beyond bone-thin. She was so malnourished that she was beginning to lose her coat, had the beginning signs of rickets, and was losing muscle mass. A healthy diet and a few supplements (and plenty of treats!) have helped this girl gain a few much-needed pounds; she is definitely on the road of recovery.
This sweet doggy truly has a wonderful outlook on life. She is ALWAYS happy and is quite confident. Livvy is such a tail-wagger and body-wiggler that she smacks herself in the face with her tail! She has a moderate energy level and her favorite way to express her energy is to play. Her best friend is a golden retriever and they will play non-stop wherever they are- at the park, the house, yard, and even on walks. She also tries to initiate play with cats, but they usually don't accept her invitation and Livvy will just watch them walk away. With her energy level she is incredibly happy with a walk or two a day, and lots of playtime (at home or especially at the dog park).
Livvy has adjusted incredibly well to the suburban lifestyle. She enjoys her daily walks so that she can meet and greet the other dogs and people in the neighborhood. And, she really has a soft spot for kids; they put an extra wag and wiggle in her. Although, she can get a little too excited and knock the smaller children over.
She is crate and house trained. Livvy prefers to be where her people are and does wonderful in the house. She won't try and jump against the counters or table and doesn't care to be on the furniture. She sits politely in the kitchen while her foster mom mixes up her meals for her and will excitedly run to her crate for meal times. She doesn't care to share her meals with the other dogs, but will happily share her toys and treats.
Livvy has been spayed, de-wormed, received her vaccinations, and current on flea prevention. Please contact us if you would like to learn more about this wonderfully loving dog.
