Cole-Pending's Story...
Cole was rescued along with his friend Tootsie from an abandoned house where they had been living for several weeks before our director was able to catch them. He is a quiet boy who is very reserved around new people, but begins to warm up with individual attention and affection. Cole does best with another dog around to give him confidence. This special boy will make an amazing companion for someone willing to give him a little extra time and love. Cole is a medium sized dog that weighs about 42 pounds. Birth date 1/12/10

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cole-Pending, a Detroit Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Detroit, or seeking a Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Detroit.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Detroit already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Detroit breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Detroit paves the way for another one to be saved.
