Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Available for adoption in South Windsor, CT

Molly is a now 2 year old mini red female who came into rescue when she was a PUPPY! She is in need of her forever home and is currently located in South Windsor, Connecticut and was given to her foster mom by her breeder with her mom Skye, who was placed a year ago. Molly was poor without properly functioning tear ducts so neither of Molly's eyes produced tears and she needed surgery to correct this. Updates: January 20, 212: Molly went to another eye specialist today who is trying another therapy on Molly for two weeks, and if that works thinks a different type of corrective surgery should be done February 3, 2012: Molly is doing very well!, (unfortunately) the specialist wants to see her again in 2 months- so far her treatment is going well March 8, 2012: Molly is going to see another specialist for a third opinion as the two opinions thus far have been drastically different, and her current treatment requires artificial tear application and meds over a dozen times each day. The appointment is set for the afternoon of Monday March 19th March 19, 2012: Molly saw a third eye specialist today and they agreed it was good to have tried the conservative treatment first but the surgery would be best. Her surgery is scheduled for Wednesday April 4th April 5, 2012: Molly had her surgery yesterday and all went fairly well. She stayed overnight after her surgery and was checked this morning before leaving. Molly's right eye is now producing tears after her surgery yesterday! The left one, as you can see in this picture, has always been worse and we are hoping the left eye begins to produce some of its own tears as well. April 8, 2012: Molly's left eye is doing great, the right eye is producing a bit too much fluid and will be getting checked up on at the vet on Thursday, April 12th
2013 Update: Molly's eyes are doing well after her surgery but she continues to need daily ointment for her eyes as well. She is good with other dogs and loves kids
