Tootsie-Adopted!'s Story...
Tootsie and her friend Cole were living in an abandoned house for several weeks before our director was finally able to catch them and bring them out of the cold. Tootsie is a happy, affectionate girl that loves people. She has really come out of her shell since she was rescued, but can still be a bit nervous in new situations. Tootsie walks very well on a leash and enjoys going out. She would do best in a home without cats or other female dogs. We feel it would be best to place her in a home with children over 10 years old and a calmer type environment. Tootsie is a real sweetheart who will make a wonderful companion for the perfect person. Birth date 2/6/08

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tootsie-Adopted!, a Detroit Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Detroit, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Detroit.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Detroit already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Detroit breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Detroit paves the way for another one to be saved.
