Nellie's Story...
Hi My name is Nellie and I lovely little 6 year old female chihuahua weighing 8 pounds with a white and black coat

I am good with other dogs and cats and live with them now, but my favorite pastime is to throw and toss my ball in the air or stuffed toy

I am no problem too anyone and very quiet and just love to be held. I am scared of people until I know them and reactive at first by barking.

Would love to belong to a family that just wants to hold me and spoil me

I am typical Chihuahua and will growl and bark at a stranger approaching me when being held by my owner or comes into my home. I like to show them that because I am small I can still scare them and protect my owners. .My foster mom laughs at me when I do this as she says who is taking notice of a small thing like me. But makes me feel better :-)

Spayed with all my up to date shots

Housetrained

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nellie, a Long Beach Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Long Beach, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Long Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Long Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Long Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Long Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
