Shelby's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Shelby's Story...
Shelby is a year old and weighs 18 lbs: as cute as a button, but what Jack Russell isn't? Shelby can be a calm little girl who loves to be cuddled and she can also be a little energizer bunny. She likes to be the boss and is possessive of "her person" but gets along with other dogs but not cats. Shelby needs a home where she's alone for only a short time each day, is with another dog, has a fenced yard, and no kids under 12..

While Jack Russell's are cuddly little dogs, hey are also high-energy. For more information, go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Russell_Terrier#Temperament

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shelby, a Dunkirk Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Dunkirk, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Dunkirk.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dunkirk already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dunkirk breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dunkirk paves the way for another one to be saved.
