My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bixby's adoption fee is $300.

Hey there! My name is Bixby and I’m looking for my forever home. I’m about 4 years old and am a male American Eskimo Dog. I weigh about 27 pounds (I could stand to lose a few pounds), and as you might guess from my name I love cooler weather - I’m not nearly so energetic when it’s hot outside Going for walks and rolling around in the snow are two of my most favourite things (next to eating!) I would be so happy to have a home with a fenced yard where I can romp around and explore. I’m in excellent health, and I’ve been neutered, micro chipped and brought up to date on all my vaccines too.
I am good with other dogs - we’re not sure about cats as there aren’t any in my foster home, but I seem to pretty well ignore them when we meet them outside. I am a bit submissive and would be really happy to find a home with another playful, calm dog - we would have a lot of fun together. I’m shy when I meet people too, but with patience and letting me come to you, I will quickly come around and you’ll learn just how wonderful I am. I would be happiest in a calm adult-only environment, as kids and a lot of commotion seems to really make me nervous. I also bark a bit if I can see what’s going on outside, so would be best suited to a single home – I take my supervision duties very seriously you know! I’m housetrained, and I love to be brushed; because of my gorgeous, long coat I should be brushed regularly. I just love to be scratched and petted, and will stay close by, or come by to sit on your lap just loving the attention.
So, what do you think? Am I the handsome, energetic companion that you’ve been looking for? If so, please drop Tiny Paws a line asking for Bixby – it could be the start of a great relationship!
