Canon's Story...
You want handsome?? Well, we have BIG AND HANDSOME for you! Meet Canon.... a stunning black Lab with a big smile to match his personality! Canon is 1 1/2 to 2 years old and about 80 pounds. He was rescued from a local shelter where he landed after an afternoon of adventure. Unfortunately, he had no ID to get back home.

Canon has lots of energy and loves to run and play fetch. He would be a wonderful companion to an active family with kids about 10 years old and up. Canon is a champ in his crate. He is also completely potty trained. Canon knows his manners, like how to sit, stay, lie down, and walk on a leash, but sometimes it is awfully hard to remember to behave! He is energetic but thrives under consistency.

Canon gets along very well with the other large dogs in his foster home. He has discovered that kitty cats are nimble runners, and it is really fun to "play chase" with them. The cats in his foster home disagree :-) They recommend that he not live with kitties in his new home.

Canon is completing his medical care and will be available for adoption at the end of January.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Canon, a Coppell Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Coppell, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Coppell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Coppell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Coppell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Coppell paves the way for another one to be saved.
