Daisy's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Daisy's Story...
Meet Daisy. She is a 6 year old pure bred golden retriever that was turned over to AGK because the family could no longer care for her. Daisy is extremely sweet, loving and really, your typical golden girl that gives you the head nudge for pets. Daisy just underwent ACL surgery and is on her way to a new "Daisy"! She also has thyroid disease which requires daily, very inexpensive meds for the remainder of her life. Daisy is great with other dogs, cats and children. She knows LOTS of commands, walks very well on a leash, crate trained, house trained and would probably go fetch your am newspaper - that is how smart this sweet girl is! She does require a stay at home or work at home parent because she has a bit of separation anxiety and suffers from thunder phobia. PLEASE NOTE ALL AGK DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN EAST TENNESSEE. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY OUR ADOPTION PROCESS ON OUR SITE www.adoptagoldenknoxville.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Daisy, a Roanoke Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Roanoke, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Roanoke.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Roanoke already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Roanoke breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Roanoke paves the way for another one to be saved.
