Ruff Ruff! My name is Charlie
|Size:||Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)||Sex:||Male||ID#:||Charlie|
I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, not good with kids, and good with dogs.
Charlie is a 2 year old puppy trapped in an 8 year old body. With his long legs and soft ears, he will give you a regal look one minute and be a playful, curious goofball the next. He needs a fenced backyard preferable with a doggie dog, so he can “sniff” around anytime he wants. When he wants to go outside he knocks his head on the door. He is house trained, sleeps well in a kennel and is good mannered in the car.
Charlie is good on a leash and needs lots of exercise to tire him out. He is a good walking partner and with minimal training, he might enjoy jogging. He is well-mannered and will sit, stay for a short time, come, shake, lay down, and get in the back (of the car).
Charlie loves to eat and is a counter surfer so don’t turn your back on him. He will sit at the doorway while you cook, but he needs some consistency training. Food, bones, and toys can be removed from his mouth without aggression or resistance. He will however growl if another dogs tries to do the same, otherwise, he gets long marvelously with other dogs. He reportedly snapped at a child that was teasing him, but generally enjoys the attention of all people.
Charlie has a fondness for tissues and clean socks. He will seek out tissues, so place boxes up high. He doesn’t appear to chew socks, but he loves to carry them all over the house. His favorite places to sit are at the window or on the back of the sofa (preferably by the window). He enjoys cuddling and having his belly rubbed. Charlie is neutered, micro-chipped and weighs 32 lbs.
Charlie is looking for a loving home with a big backyard and an excess of socks. You can see more photos of Charlie on our website at: www.acsrwa.org If you would like to meet Charlie, contact the ACSR for an application and a play date. His adoption fee is $250.

Visits are by appointment. Please call or email to schedule an appointment to meet our adoptable cocker spaniels today!
Anyone wanting to adopt one of our cocker spaniels, must fill out an application (available on our website at www.acsrwa.org) Applications are reviewed by our staff; applicants that qualify are then asked for what we call a "home visit". One of our volunteers meets with each applicant and their household members at their home for a short interview. Each applicant gets an opportunity to meet with the dog to see if they like each other. Information about each applicant is then reviewed and an applicant is chosen to adopt a dog. A couple of weeks after a dog is adopted, a volunteer with check with the adopter to see how everything is going and if there are any problems, concerns, questions, etc. We are always available to help however we can, after the adoption is made.
