Cameron's Story...
Meet Cameron, an approximately 1-2 year old Boxer mix. Cameron may look intimidating, but she is a big mushy sweetheart. Rescued from a high-kill shelter in Marlboro, South Carolina, Cameron is glad to be alive, and she shows it. She loves people and thrives on attention and affection. She is good with other dogs, but really doesn't like cats, so cannot live with them, and probably should not live with small dogs. But if you are looking for a princess pup for your castle or a playmate for your current, larger dog, Cameron should be high on your list. This Southern gal is looking for that perfect home. She is looking for a foster home or adopter so if you can offer either, please contact us at Adoptions@GimmeShelterAnimalRescue.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cameron, a Sagaponack Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Sagaponack, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Sagaponack.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sagaponack already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sagaponack breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sagaponack paves the way for another one to be saved.
