Suzzy's Story...
Meet Suzzy...

This sweet girl was brought to the kennel well over a year ago and never picked up by her owner. She is great with dogs, children and all people. She has been in and out of the kennel for most of her life. She is high energy, but that is likely due to being in the Kennels for so long. She will need some training, but she will be easy to train! She just turned 3 in December. We believe that she is a labrador mixed with a smaller breed. She only weighs 30 lbs so she is not a bulky as a pure bred lab...which is nice for folks that like a lab temperment but cant handle the size or power of a lab.
Our adoption fee includes all vetting, microchip, health certificate and USDA certified transport to your area. We are a non profit organization and adoptions are considered charitable contributions on your income taxes. If you are interested in this guy please request an application at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Suzzy, a Hagerstown Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Hagerstown, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Hagerstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hagerstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hagerstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hagerstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
