Rainy's Story...
Sweet, gentle and affectionate Rainy was abandoned at Cypress Gardens. She had quite a few medical issues to overcome, but is now a healthy, lovely and loving little cat. Rainy recognizes all people as her friends and is great with other cats and with dogs. Rainy is positive for FIV (Feline Aids) and is currently in wonderful health. She appears to have food allergies and is doing well on Taste of the Wild Prairie Formula (green bag) dry food. We add 500 mg crushed lysine to her food daily, and she gets Interferon to help her immune system because of her Aids. This loving, lovely and feminine kitty would love to share her life with you! Her gentle love will make you smile to come home to her.

About Our Rescue Group...

We are an all-foster home, no-kill, cageless, no time limit feline sanctuary. We rescue high-risk cats the shelters and veterinarians will not otherwise offer for adoption. We focus on "special needs" and mature animals, although not ALL of our adoptable cats are mature or have a special need. We take these pets into our homes, socialize them with our own families and provide for all their needs until they are adopted. We stand behind our adopted pets for their entire lives. Some of our sanctuary pets are socialized, vetted and trained to provide pet therapy services to area rehabilitation and assisted living facilities.

Come Meet Our Pets...
You can meet our pets in purr-son by calling the foster parent and arranging an appointment at their foster home. We also hold adoptathons on occasion at the Azalea Square PetsMart, Summerville, SC or at Petco in Walterboro, SC on Bells Highway.
Our Adoption Process...
1. interview with the foster parent or a member of the Board of Directors

1.a. A home visit might be required prior to adoption, and may still be made after adoption.

2. Complete an adoption application if you are interested in proceeding with adoption.

3. When your application to adopt is approved, we will complete the adoption contract.

3.a. Our contract stipulates that cats must be indoor cats unless specifically agreed upon in writing by us otherwise. Likewise, our contract also forbids declawing unless we specifically approve in writing.

4. Adoption Donations: Kittens are $90, Adults 1-7 years old $60, Adults over 7 and Special Needs: $40
