My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! I am Sam. Sam I am. Somehow I got lost a couple weeks back. My foster parents found me in their front yard one night. They fed me and gave me a dog bed. And then I slept. For 12 hours straight! I woke up to the licks of a happy Lab mix. His name is Jack. After stretching and checking out my foster parent's grassy yard I found out I also have a foster sister named Maisie. I like her, but it's taking a while for her to get used to me. She has this attitude, but it hasn't stopped her from laying right next to me. She's just protecting her parents. I would.

Anyway, after my first breakfast with the "rents" they gave me a bath. I love baths. Baths make my coat silky. I may not have a home, but I happen to have a very silky coat. Since the bath they've let me in their house, which is ok because I'm housebroken.

Wait. Did someone just say "walk"? Yes they did! We all went for a walk. I love walks. FYI, I walk very well on a leash and I want lots of walks. I don't know why they don't say "go for a smell" because that's all I think about when I go for a walk. Did I win some sort of temporary lottery? I think I did.

The next day they drove me to the vet and found I didn't have a chip. Maisie has a chip. A very big chip. But that's another story. The vet said I'm spayed, which is a relief somehow. She also said I'm a very sweet and docile lover with healthy teeth. They gave me a couple of shots and a couple of treats and sent me on my way. I like to ride in cars. I am super mellow when I go for a ride.

My days now consist of eating, drinking, walking and sunbathing with Jack and Maisie. Things are good. I really want to continue this lifestyle, but I need to find a nice new family to do so. One without cats, of course. Cats do not like me and I do not like cats. I chase them. They drive me nuts.

Sam I am. May I be yours?
