Furry Kids' Refuge needs BLEACH and LYSOL type cleaners (NO PINE Scented, please).  If you have any to spare you can drop them off at our weekly adoption events held at the Lee's Summit Petco every Saturday from Noon to 4pm.  Or call 816-277-8284 to arrange for a pick-up of large donations.  Thank you!

Hank Junior is a ball of energy and full of people love. Hank Jr. loves to play in the yard with balls or anything he can pick up in his mouth and play keep-away with. He lights up when people come around and just wants his belly scratched. Hank Jr actually sleeps on his back like a person - we think just in case someone would happen to want to scratch his tummy!! Hank Jr was rescued from the Independence shelter where he was out of time and he is Furry Kids longest resident - we've been caring for Hank for a couple of years. He would absolutely love to have a forever home! Hank has the softest coat of fur. He didn't pose very well for the camera so he looks so much prettier in person.

Hank is very scared of thunder and lightning so his family would have to be sure to keep him safe and secure during thunderstorms. Hank is kind of possessive about dinner time so it would be best if Hank were placed in a family with older children....this does NOT mean he is aggressive towards them just that we want to protect everyone.  His foster family has worked with Hank quite a bit and he is housetrained!  Hank is crate trained but has some separation anxiety so a heavy duty crate is recommended.  Hank is very good with female dogs but he is not always comfortable with other male dogs. He tends to act dominant unless the other male is much larger or just very easy going. 
 
Hank Jr. is micro-chipped, neutered and up to date on vacinations, dewormed, heartworm tested negative, on preventatives and his $150 adoption fee includes a 2 week trial is included to help ensure everyone's happiness.
