Howard's Story...
Howard is not being sheltered at The Pet Connection. For more information on this dog, please contact Marlan Roberts at Marlan.roberts@kcmo.org or give him a call at 816-513-9825. Kansas City MO Animal Shelter,4400 Raytown Rd , Kansas City MO 64129 Even though you can tell that Howard has seen more pain in his life than any dog ever should it has not broken his beautiful spirit. Howard seems like he has probably spent his whole life on a chain he came in with a collar in bedded in his neck. Sweet Howard has not let any of this get him down nor has it made him dislike or distrust people, its the complete opposite he is so grateful for even the slightest bit of attention. This gentle guy walks beautifully on the leash and has yet to meet a stranger! Doesn't he deserve to have a wonderful home in which to let his neck heal and to put some meat on his bones? Will you be the one to show sweet Howard that life is not just living on a chain or in a cage?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Howard, a Olathe Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Olathe, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Olathe.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Olathe already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Olathe breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Olathe paves the way for another one to be saved.
