Jaz's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Jaz's Story...
Meet Jaz. She is a super sweet well behaved little girl. She gets along great with other dogs although, typical Aussie, she would rather be by playing with or just hanging out with her person. Jaz is probably around three years old and on the small side. She is past puppy behaviors but still happy and a little silly. Sadly, Jaz had tested positive for Heartworm and will begin her treatment the week of 1/23/2012. She can meet prospective adopters beginning 1/28 and a go home date will depend on how she progresses and an adopters understanding of the care needed during recovery.

>Sadie's dogs may never be chained or tethered outside. We do not adopt to outdoor only homes so please inquire only if you are comfortable allowing this sweetheart to live in your home. All adults in the family must be aware of and agree to the adoption. Applications/contracts are required for all Sadie’s adoptions, home visits and follow up may be requested. All Sadie's dogs are tested for Heartworm, up to date on vaccines and altered prior to adoption.
Sadie’s adoption fees run from $140 per dog. Adoption fees help cover spay and neuter, vaccines and foster care.
For more information, please email or call with your contact information and why you are interested in a /particular dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jaz, a San Angelo Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in San Angelo, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in San Angelo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Angelo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Angelo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Angelo paves the way for another one to be saved.
